The UCI has published a list of teams that have submitted the documents necessary to register for the 2022 season.
Nine WorldTeams have applied to retain their status next year, with five teams applying to make the step up to the WorldTeam level. This would bring the number of UCI Women’s WorldTeams to 14 next year.
First-division road teams seeking registration for the 2022 season must submit their registrations to the UCI, which then assesses, alongside financial auditor PwC, the teams’ compliance with UCI regulations. However, the UCI has also indicated that teams which do not appear on the recently-published list still have the chance to finalise their applications before the end of the registration procedure.
