Demi Vollering has signed a two year contract with SD Worx.
Former double junior Road World Champion Lucy van der Haar announced her retirement from racing.

Annemiek van Vleuten and Amanda Spratt (Mitchelton-SCOTT) crashed out of the Giro Rosa on Stage 7. They were taken to hospital, van Vleuten with a broken wrist and Spratt suffering a heavy hit to her shoulder and concussion. We wish both riders a speedy recovery.
The Netherlands will not be sending a track team to the European Championships in Bulgaria in November, citing that they do not consider this a safe move due to COVID-19.

The Grand Prix International d’Isbergues was won by Chloe Hosking (Rally) ahead of Chiara Consonni (Valcar – Travel & Service) and Lauren Kitchen (FDJ Nouvelle Aquitaine Futuroscope)
The Belgian Junior Road Race Championship title was taken out by Julie Hendrickx, with Marith Vanhove and Julie De Wilde rounding out the podium.

Christine Thorburn, a former U.S. rider, celebrated her birthday on 17 September. She was the U.S. individual time trial champion in 2004 and participated at two Olympic Games, only narrowly missing out on a podium place. She was also as part of the Worlds bronze medal team time trial squad in Salzburg in 2006. After retiring from the sport, she studied medicine at Stanford and went on to become a rheumatologist.
Monica Valvik turned 50 on 15 September. She is a former five-time Norwegian national road champion and winner of the 1994 UCI Road World Championship gold medal, giving her country the first ever word title in a road event.
