Fans of women’s cycling will be delighted to hear that Voxwomen will be showing a live stream of the Philadelphia International Cycling Classic via our new cycling hub. The women’s WorldTour event is to begin at 12:30pm EST and expected to finish between 3:27pm and 3:42 p.m. EDT, fans can view the race on www.voxwomen.com/staging.
The women’s race covers a distance of 118.7km with riders circuiting a 19.7km loop, beginning and ending at the Manayunk Wall. The field totals 19 teams with a combination of international and domestic riders, sure to create a really exciting race.
Last years winner Lizzie Armitstead will not be on the startline this year, but her team Boels-Dolmans bring with them a team of more than capable riders that could defend the team title, including current WorldTour leader Megan Guarnier. Coryn Rivera of United Healthcare is another rider to watch out for, having just finished within the overall top 10 at the Amgen Tour of California. We’re also really interested to see what Elisa Longo Borghini and Alena Amialiusik can bring to the race having both finished on the podium in last years edition.
If you want to follow the race via Twitter, the best way is to use the hashtags, #PhillyBikeRace, #UCIWWT or head over to the races official Twitter page @PhillyBikeRace.
