A week today sees the start of the second Amgen Tour of California Women’s race, the first of the UCI Women’s WorldTour in North America. The best women’s teams in the world will come together in the Golden State from 19th-22nd May to ride four days of spectacular women’s racing. With the Rio Olympics looming, the results of the race will go a long way towards rider selection making the battle between the 18 teams starting even more interesting.
Voxwomen are heading to California to bring you all of the latest action from the race. As the races official media partner we will be bringing you a daily race report, a live stream of the races press conference, a preview of Stage 1 and lots of tips from riders. We will also be playing truth or dare with one team, which alongside our race footage, will feature in the next episode of our TV show! Keep an eye on all of our social media channels for the latest TV scheduling.
After the race our very own Laura Winter will be heading to New York to commentate on the races NBC coverage with Paul Sherwen, she will also be doing a daily highlight segment with Brad Sohner.
Stage one of the race at South Lake Tahoe will feature a social media takeover from Drops Women’s Cycling Team. We will be doing a live twitter Q&A with the team. If you have any questions for the riders make sure to send us a tweet using the hashtag ‘#VoxAskDrops’. The ladies at Drops will choose their favourite question and the winner will receive a pair of Bontrager Meraj women’s road shoes! Don’t miss out!
