Team Jayco AlUla is pleased to confirm the signing of 31-year-old Italian Anna Trevisi for the coming season, adding valuable experience to the youthful squad for 2024.
Having spent the last 10 years racing on the women’s WorldTour, Trevisi is no stranger to the peloton and brings with her a wealth of racing knowledge. The Italian rider will be a valuable asset that the Australian outfit has been searching for to assist with the progression and development of the up-and-coming generation.
A rider that is not afraid of getting stuck in, the Italian is well-known for her positioning skills. She has spent the past years working selflessly for her teammates, helping them into position in crucial moments of key races. This is a skill that will greatly benefit Team Jayco AlUla as it continues to fight for top results in the demanding and fast developing women’s WorldTour peloton.
Brent Copeland – Team Jayco AlUla General Manager – said of the addition to the team, “Anna is a very exciting signing. She will bring her experience of racing over the years to the team, help with the lead-outs and in the sprints, where she has done a fantastic job in all the teams that she has raced for over the years.
Anna has great qualities, particularly in her approach, leading teammates into the bottom of key climbs, especially in the demanding and tactical races like the classics. She has that aggressive style of racing, and she will bring in that experience that we are lacking a little. We believe Anna will be a great asset to our team which is continuing to grow in all areas.”
Anna Trevisi said, “I am really happy to join Team Jayco AlUla. For 2024, they have a new project with Liv, with more new riders joining and when I spoke with Brent Copeland, I had a very good impression. I am happy and feeling ‘proactive’ towards joining this new team.
I am an experienced athlete, so I can bring my experience to help the young riders and also do an important job in helping the team in races. I am known as a lead-out rider and a worker, like leading the team sprinter in the peloton throughout the race and ready for the sprint finishes and I hope to continue doing this role well. For next year, I hope to achieve some good results personally and also help the team to victories. It looks like a very nice group, so it is exciting to join them.”
