Trek-Segafredo has completed their Women’s squad for 2022. With a mixture of youth and experience the American outfit hopes to take their squad to the next level during the 2022 season.
Two new pros are joining the Trek-Segafredo team: Italian Elisa Balsamo and US rider Leah Thomas. Balsamo who won the recent elite women’s World Championship road race in Leuven not only brings the rainbow jersey to the team but also a wealth of experience.
Her new teammate Leah Thomas had a short but rather successful 2021 with Team Movistar where she took a stage win and the overall at the Tour de l’Ardèche. The California native is an all-rounder with an aggressive racing style, able to achieve great results in road races as well as time trials.
