Three Dutch Races For Team DSM

Team DSM is in preparation for a busy few days of Dutch racing ahead. Team selections have been finalised for the Veenendaal-Veenendaal Classic Women on May 19th, the ZLM Omloop Der Kempen on May 21st and the Antwerp Port Epic Ladies also on May 21st.

Veenendaal-Veenendaal Classic Women

Kelvin Dekker, Team DSM coach said, “We have a line-up where we can go to many different scenarios. The weather will be very important on this course. The wind can play a role everywhere. We want to continue the attacking mindset from earlier this season to create our own luck. If we decide to go for a sprint, we have a very strong finisher with Megan. So we have all the ingredients for a nice race.”

Pfeiffer Georgi (GBR)
Megan Jastrab (USA)
Franziska Koch (GER)
Esmée Peperkamp (NED)
Anna van der Meiden (NED)
Nienke Vinke (NED)

ZLM Omloop der Kempen

Kelvin Dekker continued, “This is again a typical Dutch race where the weather will have a big influence on the race. Now there are also a lot of cobbled sections where we can expect some action. We want to be present and in control, all of the time and then we can see which scenario can bring us the win. Charlotte is there as our finisher for a potential sprint and we are very confident that she can finish it off when we bring her into a good position.”

Antwerp Port Epic Ladies

Kelvin Dekker concluded, “This is a race that is completely brutal in terms of the parcours, 40% of the course is on gravel or cobbles which really adds some extra spice to the race. The course will do its job our role is to be there from the first moment. This is a race where you want to be in control and not on the back foot. We have a very strong line-up here and now it is up to us to bring everyone in the right position to fight for the victory.”
