Three Days of Racing for Team DSM

Team DSM Coach Albert Timmer has been casting an eye over the one-day races the team are involved in this week – the GP Oetingen on March 8th, Drentse Acht van Westerveld on March 10th
and the Miron Ronde van Drenthe on March 11th.

“We are opening a week of three one-day races with the GP Oetingen,” said Timmer. “We have a really young team at the start line and a few of them are doing their first race with our team, which is great. As a result of that, we want to use this and the following races to learn from each other and work on the basics, while still looking for good results. With Daniek, Elise and Maeve as our finishers we will look for our options in the final.”

GP Oetingen Line-up:

Daniek Hengeveld (NED)
Maeve Plouffe (AUS)
Eglantine Rayer (FRA)
Elise Uijen (NED)
Anna van der Meiden (NED)
Nienke Vinke (NED)

“The Drentse Acht could go two ways – a hard race with echelons or a bunch sprint,” Timmer continued. “We have a good team at the start line and have nice cards to play in both scenarios. If the wind plays a role, we want to be ahead of the game, be aggressive and make the race hard. We will then see how the race unfolds and play our cards well in the finale. In the case of a bunch sprint, Charlotte will be our finisher, who has proven to be amongst the fastest girls in the peloton.”

Drentse Acht Line-up:

Franziska Koch (GER)
Charlotte Kool (NED)
Esmée Peperkamp (NED)
Maeve Plouffe (AUS)
Anna van der Meiden (NED)
Nienke Vinke (NED)

“We conclude the week with the Ronde van Drenthe, where we return with good memories from last year. The parcours are different to the ones from previous seasons. We go into the race with a strong line-up that allows us to play our cards in every scenario, with riders like Pfeiffer and Franziska in case of an aggressive and attacking race, but also with Charlotte who can win a sprint from a bigger group,” Timmer concluded.

Ronde van Drenthe Line-up:

Léa Curinier (FRA)
Pfeiffer Georgi (GBR)
Daniek Hengeveld (NED)
Franziska Koch (GER)
Charlotte Kool (NED)
Maeve Plouffe (AUS)
