Team Jayco-AlUla is ready for the Classic Brugge-De Panne [Women] taking place in Belgium tomorrow Thursday 23rd March.
Rider Letizia Paternoster said in advance of the Classic, “I’m ready for a new appointment in Flanders. In the last few races my confidence and motivation has grown a lot and I’ve achieved some good results.
I’m happy with this because it’s been several years since I’ve raced around here, and I find myself more and more at ease among the narrow Belgian roads and cobbles. De Panne is often a race for fast finishers, and I hope to be upfront to play for another good result.”
Martin Vestby, Sport Director, added, “As always, we’re expecting quite a windy day in De Panne so the race might be more selective. I still expect it to come down to a sprint finish, but the weather conditions could heavily affect the progress of the race.
With the team we have we are ready for both a selective race and a sprint finish. If the race does come down to a sprint our sprinter will be Letizia Paternoster who has shown some good form in recent races.”
