Team DSM is preparing for two days of Classic races at the Brugge-De Panne Women on March 23rd and Gent-Wevelgem Women on March 26th.
Brugge-De Panne Women is a 163.1 km cobbled classic with a course largely favouring sprinters. Having made the team selection, Team DSM coach, Albert Timmer said, “Like most of the time in the classics, we will be prepared for two potential scenarios – action in the wind or a bunch sprint. In the case of wind and echelons, we have a strong team here with most of the girls already showing their strength in echelons at the UAE Tour already. If we see the race unfolding like this, we will race aggressively and with an open approach to look for our chances. If it comes down to a bunch sprint, we will have Charlotte, one of the fastest riders in the peloton as our finisher.”

The 12th edition of the Gent-Wevelgem Women takes place on March 26th. In advance of the event, Kelvin Dekker, Team DSM coach said, “Gent Wevelgem is always an exciting race. With our line-up, we have the big engines in the team to fire up the race in the wind, have a strong leader on the climbs with Pfeiffer and one of the fastest riders in the bunch with Charlotte if we go to a sprint. We have a lot of cards to play and it’s up to us to play it right and end up with a race scenario that suits us best. We’re excited and we will be ready for it.”
