Specialized Unveils New Kit and Bike For Team SD Worx-Protime

Specialized has unveiled a unique kit and bike design to support Team SD Worx-Protime in their quest for victory at today’s Tour de France Femmes.

“It is cool to start in my home country as the defending champion in such a beautiful shirt,” said Demi Vollering.

Celebrating 50 Years and Inspiring the Next Generation of Riders

Specialized has launched the new exclusive kit and bike design created specifically for the world’s best, Team SD Worx-Protime, to wear from the Rotterdam start line of the prestigious Tour de France Femmes. This ‘Dream State’ collaboration embodies the spirit of excellence and ambition that defines Team SD Worx-Protime and features Specialized apparel along with the S-Works Tarmac SL8. This is one of many ways that Specialized aims to inspire the next generation of riders as they celebrate an impressive 50 years in 2024. The launch embodies the Innovate or Die attitude that has been core to the Specialized DNA and will continue to drive the future of the brand.

The new kit and bike design inspires greater performance while also symbolising the team’s relentless pursuit of greatness. Harper Orr, Specialized Concept Graphic Designer, expressed the team’s mission beautifully: “With every stage win, they carve out space for themselves, becoming the light for others to follow. This beacon of light dares us to enter the dream state, finding focus in the surrounding noise. Because of them, we envision a day when anyone can see their future selves in the peloton and not be barred from that reality by a lack of opportunities. To a future where boldness, confidence, and authenticity reign supreme.”

The new clothes and bike have been welcomed positively by the Team SD Worx-Protime riders. “This is a really cool shirt,” said Lorena Wiebes. “The colour stands out nicely and goes perfectly with our Tarmac SL8. It is quite special to start in our own country at the biggest race in the world. It is extra nice that we are now completely dressed in a new outfit and bike. We will stand out. I deliberately painted my nails so that they match.!Hopefully it will bring us luck and we can cheer immediately with a win in the new shirt.”

We will race in this new kit and bike for the first time at Stage 1 on August 12th.
