Team SD Worx and Specialized Bicycles are thrilled to announce the extension of their partnership through 2028, solidifying a remarkable collaboration that has existed almost ten years. This renewal reaffirms their shared commitment to supporting the growth of women’s cycling and the continued success of the team as the best in women’s cycling.
Team SD Worx Team Manager, Danny Stam explained, “As a team, we have been working with Specialized since 2014 with great satisfaction. We are proud to announce that the long-standing partnership between Specialized and Team SD Worx will be extended through 2028. We can be proud of what we have achieved together as partners over the past few years in professionalising women’s cycling.”
Now approaching a remarkable decade of partnership, Team SD Worx and Specialized Bicycles have remained steadfastly committed to advancing women’s road racing, elevating the sport and attaining unmatched levels of success. The Specialized roster, comprised of world-class riders, has consistently claimed victory on the prestigious podiums, effectively highlighting the exceptional performance of Specialized equipment. This resounding success – from Demi Vollering’s commanding Tour de France Femmes performance, to Lotte Kopecky’s World Championship triumph and consecutive Flanders victories – is testament to the collaboration with the most discerning riders in the peloton and the unwavering dedication to pioneering innovation in order to achieve that winning edge.
Tour de France Femmes Champion, Demi Vollering said, “Last year was a year to never forget. Together with Specialized, it was a dream come true. Without the ongoing support and trust, it wouldn’t be the same. Next year will be very special. We’ll make even more dreams come true on the Tarmac SL8!”
World Champion, Lotte Kopecky added, “The collaboration between Specialized and Team SD Worx played a role in my decision to choose this team in 2022. When I rode an S-Works for the first time, I experienced a ‘wow’ feeling. It’s nice to have full confidence in your equipment and is an honour to have such support behind our Team SD Worx.”
As they extend their partnership, Specialized Bicycles are excited to continue this journey with the extraordinary athletes and leadership that Team SD Worx has brought to women’s cycling. Together, they will continue to strive for greatness while inspiring the next generation of women in racing.
“With the extension of the partnership between Team SD Worx and Specialized through 2028, we cap off a great decade of collaboration and growth,” said Leader of S-Racing, Scott Jackson. “To have a consistent long term partnership allows us to really dive into each and every technical detail to support the best athletes in the world at the highest level on the world’s largest stage. To be able to support such a successful team and be a part of their success makes us feel proud and honoured, as well as eager for what’s to come.”
