Picnic PostNL have named a strong team for the return of Sanremo women this weekend. The team are ready for all the different scenarios that could play out on the way to the via Roma.
The team will comprise:

“With the long-awaited return of Milano-Sanremo Donne, we’re excited to take on this iconic race. The course will test both endurance and race instincts, especially in the final when the famous climbs start to shake up the peloton. We have strong options for different scenarios. With Nienke and Marta, we have the climbing power to follow when the race opens up on the key ascents. If it all comes back together, Megan gives us a solid card to play in a sprint. It’s all about reading the race and making the right moves at the right time.”
Megan Jastrab is excited to race:
I’m thrilled to be racing the Women’s Sanremo this year, especially since it’s the first edition in 20 years. It’s inspiring to see how much women’s cycling has grown, with more races aligning with the men’s calendar. I’m coming in with a strong team, and we have multiple strategies to play, but for me personally, my focus is on surviving the climbs with the front group to stay in contention for the win. Ultimately, it will depend on how the other teams approach the final climbs, but my mindset is to give everything on the climbs and put myself in the best position for the final. I can also see the race exploding, with small groups coming in one by one, but I still believe that fighting for the win is possible—and that’s the aim with the team.
