Movistar Team is proud to announce its international debut in the cyclocross season on the weekend of December 15th, when Cat Ferguson will kick off the season at the XCO Trophy in Herentals, closely followed by the World Cup in Namur.
The U19 Cyclocross World Championship runner-up will debut in the Elite/U23 category and will, over the course of the season, face a calendar that covers 8 World Cup events, including the home race for Movistar Team in Benidorm, and a total of 14 cyclocross races.
Cat Ferguson said of the challenge ahead: “I feel very fortunate to have the support of Movistar Team for this cyclocross season. The trust the team has in me and the backing they provide is evident in their willingness to try something new this winter and take on the muddy fields of Belgium. Being my first year in Elite/U23, I’m excited to start competing and learning as much as possible, with no pressure for results just yet. I can’t wait for my first race on December 14th in Herentals. ¡Nos vemos pronto, Bélgica!”
