Margo Steps Up To U23 Team

The French cyclist Margot Marasco is the eldest among the AG Insurance – Soudal Quick-Step junior riders and will now be making the transition to the U23 team in January 2024. A year ago, Margot made her debut as a junior rider within this developmental project.

Reflecting on her season, Margot said, “I truly enjoyed this past year together with the entire team! It was an opportunity for me to get to know other riders and to grow with peers who share the same vision, motivation, and goals as myself. The year 2023 marked my very first road season, during which I could only learn. Thanks to my teammates and the staff, I learned how to ride in a team, how to be dedicated to one another, and most importantly, how to feel and understand the races.”

“The fact that I can make the switch to the U23 category next year is definitely something I am looking forward to. It is a logical step in my journey to grow, allowing me to assess my level in longer races as well as where I stand in this higher category. This will enable me to further enhance my skills, both inside and outside the peloton, focus even more on my goals, and learn to work in a more professional manner. This will make 2024 a challenging year, but I am ready for it, and I want to approach the upcoming year with the same motivation and enthusiasm as this year. Finding joy in cycling is the most important aspect for me!”
