The first season of activity of the K2 Women Team ended on a positive note, showing the incredible growth of a team of young and talented girls. However, there is big news ahead for 2025: the team, based in Galliate in the province of Novara, is also celebrating the start of a technical and sporting collaboration with Team Roland, a Swiss women’s team with a WorldTour license. After an excellent 2024, Vittoria Ruffilli and Giulia Giuliani will join the K2 WOMEN TEAM for 2025. The Swiss World Tour team will also welcome two new staff members.
This is an important opportunity for the K2 Women Team, which continues its growth project by establishing a connection to the international scene. The collaboration was possible thanks to the fundamental work of Ruben Rodrigo Contreras, the Roland Team general manager, who recognised ambition and great potential for growth.
For the 2025 season, two top athletes Vittoria Ruffilli and Giulia Giuliani of the K2 Women Team officially join the Roland roster. Vittoria Ruffilli, 22, from Novara, a climber with a past as a triathlete; and Giulia Giuliani, 22, puncher from Pescara, formerly in the ranks of the Italian national team in the youth categories have both shown a lot of growth in 2024 and were protagonists of an excellent tour of Ardèche and the Tour of Emilia.
On the technical side in Team Roland, there will also be a double addition of K2 Women Team personnel. Gaetano Antonio Romano Velleca officially joins the team’s roster of mechanics, while Nicole Fede, a former GB Women Team athlete, will be one of the new masseuses.
