Jayco AlUla Gears Up for Paris-Roubaix

Team Jayco AlUla has made the team selection ahead of the Paris-Roubaix Femmes avec Zwift as the clock counts down to one of the most anticipated races of the season on April 8th.

Australian Rider Georgie Howe explained, “I’m extremely excited for my first Paris-Roubaix, this is a race that I’ve seen for years and years, even before I got into cycling at this level and every Australian knows of Mathew Hayman’s victory in 2016 and dreams of doing the same.”

We’ve only had two editions of the women’s race, so every edition is a new chapter in the story of women’s cycling and it’s really exciting. I’m excited and a little bit nervous, but mostly ready for those cobblestones and the fight all the way to the finish.”

As a team, we are looking to race brave and race strong. The team is working really well together, we’ve got a huge amount cohesion and we’ve had a great time together over the last three weeks at the classics. The culture is there and culture leads to good results.”

Martin Vestby, Sport Director added, “In a race like Paris-Roubaix you have to be aggressive and always ready to take opportunities at anytime, and this is the approach we will take as a team on Saturday.”

It will be important to be on the front foot before we reach the cobbles and we know early breakaways can go far in this race, so we also have to keep this in mind and be ready. The team has been in good form recently and if we ride as a team we have a chance of taking a good result.”
