Gold Line-Up of Stars For Trofeo Oro in Euro

On Sunday March 9th, big stars of women’s cycling are expected in Montignoso to do battle in the 13th edition of the Trofeo Oro in Euro; a competition that has now acquired a key position on the international scene. Once again this year, there is a great organisational effort resulting from the close collaboration between the A.S.D Montignoso and the Oro in Euro jewellers, who will bring a large caravan of athletes and insiders to Versilia.

At the start of the Trofeo oro in Euro, there will be a total of 27 teams from 13 nations, while the route will be a traditional one with start and finish in Montignoso. Seven world Tour Teams are confirmed: Uae Team Adq, Canyon/ Sram Zondacrypto, Ceratizit Wnt Pro Cycling Team, Fenix Deceuninck, Human Powered Health, Uno x Mobility and Roland. The top category teams will be joined by four Professional teams, nine Continental teams, six club teams and the U.S. national team. Italy will be the best represented country with a total of 8 teams.

Italian champion and defending winner Elisa Longo Borghini has already confirmed her presence on the roads of Versilia, where she will try to write her name on the roll of honour for the third time. Launching a direct challenge to UAE Team Adq will be the Canyon team, which will be at the start with two spearheads: third-place finisher at the Giro Women 2024 and winner of the white jersey of best young rider Neve Bradbury and Danish Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig, bronze medalist at the 2023 World Championships. Team Fenix Deceuninck will take to the start with Pauliena Roijakkers, fourth at the Giro 2024 and third at the Tour de France, along with the strong cyclocross riders Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado and Sara Casasola. Human Powered Health will field the 2024 edition third-place finisher Ruth Edwards, who will be supported by Italian quartet Giada Borghesi, Carlotta Cipressi, Barbara Malcotti and Silvia Zanardi. Daniek Hengeveld, recent winner of the first stage of the Tour Down Under, will lead Team Ceratizit. Also at the start of the Trofeo Oro in Euro will be newly-crowned Australian champion Lucinda Stewart (Liv Jayco Alula), young Julie Bego and Nadia Quagliotto (Team Cofidis), Elena Pirrone, Vittoria Ruffilli and Giorgia Vettorello (Roland), and Debora Silvestri, Sara Tomasi, Alice Maria Arzuffi, Cristina Tonetti and Arianna Fidanza for Laboral Kutxa,
