De Jong Returns To WorldTour

Thalita de Jong has returned to the Women’s WorldTour, signing for Human Powered Health Cycling to the end of the 2026 season. A former cyclocross world champion and top ten finisher at the Tour de France with a positive focus on body and mind, Thalita de Jong returns to the peloton with a mighty skillset.

“This is a new adventure for me,” said de Jong. “I’m looking forward to being part of this program. I have so many positive vibes about the team. I think I will be very happy and can make further steps in the upcoming years.”

The former cyclocross world champion had a successful season on the road in 2024. The 30-year-old won two stages and the overall of the Tour of Ardèche, finished tenth at the Tour de France avec Zwift, second in GP Oetingen, fifth at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and claimed a slew of Classics top tens.

“We are thrilled to welcome Thalita to the team for the next two seasons,” announced Ro De Jonckere, General Manager. “She is an exceptional all-round talent and had a very solid season this year with a particularly impressive performance at the Tour de France. With her experience and competitive spirit, she will add depth to our squad. We are excited to support her growth and success as we continue to build a strong future together.”

Signing from Lotto Dstny Ladies, the 30-year-old was on the podium ten times this season and has rarely finished outside the top ten. Her performances in stage races this year illustrate that de Jong has developed her multi-day race skills considerably.

“I know that the team will help me prepare for and target big races,” de Jong added. “I raced a lot this season, which helped develop my skills. Next season we have a strong team – we can help each other and get to the finish line together with as much energy as possible.”

De Jong has put particular emphasis on becoming a well-rounded athlete both on and off the bike.

“People who have followed me over the years have seen the journey I have been through with injuries and mental fatigue,” she explained. “This year I was healthy and had positive vibes in my body and mind. And then I saw the heights I could reach. I totally subscribe to the Pillars. Everything needs to be in balance to work well. In our sport, in this team environment, we can work together to all strive for this.”

Off the bike, de Jong spends a lot of time with her dog Jente who likes to join her in her stretching and core sessions. Speaking from a relaxing camping holiday in the Ardennes, she concluded, “I also love to bake and cook but mainly resting and being in nature!”
